The 13th Congressional District in Texas is big.  Really, really big.  In fact, it's larger than some states.  The district that once helped send Jimmy Carter to the White House (we'll plead insanity on that one) is now the most Republican congressional district in the entire nation.  Mac Thornberry has held the seat since 1995.  For the second time during his tenure as a representative, Thornberry is facing an opponent from right here in Texoma.  This time around, it's Bowie veterinarian and fellow Republican Pamela Lee Barlow.  Barlow dropped by our studios on Thursday to tell us why she has chosen to run for the Republican nomination for 13th Congressional District Representative.  In case you missed the show, click on the links below to hear the complete interview!

Side notes:

Early voting continues through Friday, May 25th.  Click here to view the League of Women Voters Guide, with polling locations included.

Congressman Thornberry has sponsored an amendment to the controversial National Defense Authorization Act (which he supports) that, in itself, is sure to stir serious controversy.
