Facebook Post Leads to Arrest, Stolen Property Recovery
You really have to be careful what you post on social media, especially if you’re in possession of stolen property.
Wichita Falls Police, posing as buyers, responded to a Facebook ad and ended up finding more than 40 pieces of stolen property.
KFDX reports that 37-year-old Latisha Kempf was arrested after undercover officers purchased a drill press at a storage building next to a home on Carrigan Avenue. Once the stolen drill press was purchased by the officers, they returned with a search warrant and discovered more stolen property.
44 items were recovered that were taken from a home on Speedway. Police say there are other suspects that were involved in the thefts and that Kempf was aware the items were stolen. Kampf was not listed as an inmate in the Wichita County Jail as of Wednesday evening.
