Grass Fire Affecting Travel in Archer County

A large grass fire is burning along FM 1954 and Thorman Road to the east of U.S. 281.

Winds have now pushed the flames across F M 1954 toward E. Jentsch Road.  No structures appear to be in danger but some cattle are in the path of the blaze.

Firefighters are on the scene and motorists are asked to avoid this area if at all possible so that fire trucks can maneuver the area.
