Police in Temple, Texas Looking for Women Who Stole Over $2,000 Worth of Meat
It’s the great Texas Meat Heist.
Police in Temple are looking for two women who have been accused of stealing over $2,000 worth of meat in broad daylight.
KWTX reports that officers were sent to the H-E-B in the 3000 block of S. 31st Street a little after 3:30 pm on Friday, April 15 to investigate the crime.
An employee first noticed two women leaving the store with a cart filled with a large quantity of meat inside without paying for it.
Video footage shows a woman frantically unloading the meat from a shopping cart and putting it in the trunk of a white Chrysler 300 while a woman wearing an H-E-B shirt attempts to stop them while filming the crime.
Another woman appears to be standing lookout while standing on the passenger side of the car.
In addition, the suspects let the shopping cart run into another vehicle parked in the lot, causing damage to it.
The Temple Police Department are looking to the community to help identify the suspects. Anyone who can identify them is urged to call the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500.
You can always give an anonymous tip through Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-8477.
With video of the women committing the crime circulating the internet, something tells me it won’t be long before our meat bandits find themselves in handcuffs.
