WFPD Responds To Suicide Call

Wichita Falls Police and SWAT team members responded to a call in the 700 block of Warford at around 6:48 pm.

Officers were called to check on the welfare of a male subject at the location who was reportedly suicidal.  The man initially refused to talk with officers but as of 10:00 pm the man had surrendered and was being taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

There were no injuries reported during the standoff.  The man’s identity has not yet been released.
