Forecasters are calling for a potential 3 to 6 inches of snow for Wichita Falls and the surrounding areas.  Some areas could receive up to 10 inches.  This means road conditions will be hazardous on Sunday across most of Texoma.  Motorists are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel. But preparations have been in the works since early Friday.

TxDOT crews will be working in 12 hour shifts if the need arises.  According to TxDOT Public Information Officer Adele Lewis, maintenance employees across all nine counties in this district (Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cooke, Montague, Throckmorton, Wilbarger, Wichita, and Young) began pretreating bridges and overpasses today with Freezeguard or salt brine on Friday.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the entire listening area through Sunday.  For updates on closures and delays, click here.
