Police, Fire Respond to Another Bomb Threat in Wichita Falls
Wichita Falls Police and Fire responded to yet another bomb threat call just before noon today.
Someone called Target on Kemp Blvd and claimed a bomb was in the building. Management immediately asked everyone to exit the building, though they did not immediately inform anyone of the threat. Customers and staff were initially told there was an emergency.
Police and fire officials searched the building and found nothing suspicious. The store was re-opened in just over one hour. Police are treating this incident as a terroristic threat. They say the person responsible will face felony charges if caught.
On Monday an emailed bomb threat forced the evacuation of the MSU campus. That, too, turned out to be a hoax. Police officials would not speculate as to whether the two could be connected.
