A Wichita County man is facing charges of injury to a child after confessing to beating his daughter with an extension cord.

Times Record News reports that a local school contacted police after discovering ‘loop style marks’ on a 4 year-old child from her neck to her legs. Child Protective Services opened an investigation after the child told a counselor and the school principal that her father beat her with an extension cord.

On October 3rd, 30 year-old Christopher Cornell Pollard admitted to police that he lost his temper and beat the child with the cord because she wet the bed. Pollard was arrested last week and charged with injury to a child.  He was released Thursday on $30,000 bond.
