Wichita Falls Police Arrest Two in Connection with Stolen Car, Stolen License Plates
Wednesday afternoon Wichita Falls Police arrested a man and woman in connection with a stolen vehicle and stolen tags.
At around 2:30 pm, officers spotted a vehicle in the 2200 block of Talunar near the intersection of Sunset Drive, just off Seymour Highway. Officers confirmed the plates were reported stolen out of Big Spring, Texas. Officers checked the VIN number of the vehicle and determined it was reported stolen in Clay County.
The driver, 27-year-old Benjamin Fuentes was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and an outstanding city warrant. The passenger, 27-year-old Laci Brookshire, was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon, a pair of brass knuckles. During her booking procedure at the county jail, deputies found methamphetamine in her wallet. She was then also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
As of Thursday afternoon, Brookshire was held on combined bonds of $16,000. Fuentes was held on a $5,000 bond on the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge. Additional charges were pending.
